Visit Salt Lake Awards Lewis Stages

Press Release

July 8, 2014

Salt Lake City – Visit Salt Lake bestowed its highest honor, the Tourism Achievement Award, on Lewis Stages during its second quarter board of trustees meeting held at Smith’s Ballpark on June 19. The annual award honors members and community organizations for their efforts in supporting the mission of VSL and the larger tourism community of Salt Lake County.

According to the Visit Salt Lake board of trustees and Scott Beck, president and CEO of Visit Salt Lake, Lewis Stages enhances and adds a great deal to efforts in attracting domestic and international visitors to Salt Lake and the Intermountain region.

“From day one of our organization promoting Salt Lake in 1984, Lewis Stages has been a stalwart partner in all aspects of our sales and marketing efforts,” Beck said.

Lewis Stages’ Utah roots run deep, beginning 100 years ago. Today, Lewis Stages is a division of the All Resort Group, and operates in 11 western states with a staff of about 350 people.

Past recipients of VSL's Tourism Achievement Award include Jack Gallivan, Jon M. Huntsman, Jr.; the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; Tom Guinney, John Williams and Tom Seig from Gastronomy, Inc.; Earl Holding; Kenneth Knight; Richard E. Davis; Larry H Miller; the Utah Jazz; Salt Lake City Department of Airports; Valter Nassi of Cucina Toscana; Dennis Copyak of LeBus; the Creators of The Utah Compact; Bishop H. David Burton of the LDS Church and Alta Ski Area
