VendRx Featured in the Deal Forum

Press Release

July 31, 2012

When you want to rent a movie and you want it fast, where do you go? Many people would say RedBox. Imagine going to a doctor and getting your prescription the same way, but without the late fees. VendRx and CEO Trent Jefferies are working to make this a reality.

VendRx is developing a machine that would allow patients to fill prescriptions right at the doctor’s office without a visit to the pharmacy. The machines will focus on generic prescriptions, bypass insurance, and tailor-fit inventory for each office.

Not only will the machine save time and money for patients, doctors will benefit as well. These machines will maximize profits for doctors by cutting out the middle-man.

VendRx is one of four companies that will be featured at the Wayne Brown Institute’s Deal Forum on July 31st. The Deal Forum is a monthly event in which new and early-stage companies present their business plans to a panel of seasoned investors.

Other Presenting companies:

  • Vault RMS- Founder Chris Memmot and his team have created a web-based records management system designed to help small law enforcement agencies easily organize crime data and generate reports that meet State and Federal guidelines
  • Planet Gear- Founder Verinique Markewitz has created a new online retailer for women where companies can easily liquidate their closeout inventory.
  • Affinity Amp Inc- CEO Tom Loutzenheiser and his team offer a cloud-based SaaS platform that enables businesses to engage their customers with powerful, customized mobile applications.
