The Utah Student 25 has announced its 2013 winners, representing the best and the brightest student entrepreneurs from colleges and universities across Utah. In its fourth year, the Utah Student 25 recognizes the achievements of student entrepreneurs, the innovative companies they founded and their contribution to the Utah economy.
Underwater Audio, an iPod Shuffle waterproofing and reselling company founded by a BYU student, was honored as the top student-founded business in Utah at an awards gala held Thursday evening at the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles Tower in Salt Lake City.
“The students who participated in this year’s Utah Student 25 program have incredible energy and business savvy,” said John Richards, founder of the Utah Student 25. “These student entrepreneurs are nothing short of amazing. These young people are enrolled full time in school and have set their minds and efforts to channeling what they are learning to build businesses and brands. What’s even more impressive is these students are helping drive the economy, and many provide employment to Utah families and fellow students.”
