Salt Lake City — The State of Utah’s website, www.utah.gov&esheet=50722897&newsitemid=20131004005536&lan=en-US&anchor=Utah.Gov&index=1&md5=4b824faf4b71403c5a78fbcb26dfb5a7" target="_blank">Utah.Gov, was recognized today by the Center for Digital Government with the Best of the Web award for the sixth straight year. Utah.gov has ranked in the top three best state websites since 2006.
“Utah’s online services have saved the state millions of dollars and served Utahns in innovative and accessible ways,” said Gov. Gary Herbert. “When it comes to our use of technology, we just keep getting better and better.”
The Best of the Web Awards program showcases governments whose websites demonstrate innovation, usability and functionality for users.

In the last 12 months, Utah.gov services provided over 11 million online job referrals to Utah citizens, gave access to 16 new online education programs, and provided 114 gigabytes of open data (30,000 downloads) each week.
“Utah has demonstrated the ability to adapt to the changing technology landscape, while creating first-class public and business services,” said Todd Sander, executive director of the Center for Digital Government.
