A Look at One of Utah’s Newest Public Companies
Special Report
Companies to Watch
The company is launching the second version of FirstStep in the fourth quarter of 2012. The new test will incorporate the proprietary research Lineagen has been doing for the last several years to provide even better diagnoses.
Lineagen is also working hard to provide a non-invasive MS diagnosis before the disease has progressed. Additionally, it is studying the myriad of disorders under the COPD diagnosis, as well as trying to understand what distinguishes a fast- or slow-progressing version. The company hopes to begin research on other complex disorders like ADHD or dyslexia.
Paul says he sees the company’s future as providing truly personalized healthcare by using genetics to identify which treatment would be best for each person and the way a disorder affects them.
