Utah Business Accepting Healthcare Hero Nominations

Utah Business Staff

July 10, 2012

Do you know a doctor who has quietly devoted a lifetime to caring for others? Have you been impressed by the dedication of a hospital volunteer? Did a nurse show much-needed compassion to help your family through a difficult health care transition?

Utah Business invites you to nominate those healthcare professionals who have gone the extra mile and made a difference in your own health care experience or that of your friends or family for our Healthcare Heroes program. This annual recognition acknowledges excellence and innovation within the healthcare system and contributes to continuously improving the standard of care that Utah’s organizations provide.

Heroes are those remarkable individuals who fulfill their roles with unwavering courage, compassion and dignity. They are strong in the face of adversity and are constantly seeking quiet ways to improve the lives of those around them. While heroes won’t seek the spotlight, we feel it is time to shine it on them.

Three award recipients in each category will be chosen by an editorial panel from a field of nominations. The awards are open to organizations, businesses and individuals who are making a meaningful effect on the quality of health care in Utah. Nominations are due by Wednesday, August 1 at 9 a.m. Visit www.utahbusiness.com to submit a nomination.

Awards will be given in the following categories:

Lifetime Achievement

Innovation in Healthcare

Healthcare Educator

Community Outreach

Volunteer

Healthcare Practitioner-Physician

Healthcare Practitioner- Non-physician

Administrative Excellence
