Salt Lake City — Professional services company Towers Watson has finalized a lease for 16,637 square feet at 222 Main.
Towers Watson operates the largest private Medicare exchange in the nation and was the first true defined contribution health plan exchange. The company is building out the entire third floor of the building and plans to occupy the new space before the end of the year. This will be its third location in Utah.
“In an effort to provide its employees with a more urban working environment, Towers Watson is moving a portion of its operations from the suburbs to downtown,” said Scott Wilmarth, senior vice president of CBRE, who represented Towers Watson in the transaction.
222 Main is a 426,657-square-foot, class A office building. With the finalization of this lease, there are only two more floors available within the building. Constructed by Hamilton Partners, it was Utah’s first LEED Gold certified high-rise.
