Salt Lake City – Thumbtack, a San Francisco-based technology company, plans to open an office in Salt Lake City, its second in the United States. The company plans to hire more than 200 employes to provide customer service, account management and sales. Thumbtack selected Salt Lake because it is a tech-friendly city with an good talent pool. The office is set to open April 21.
“We are thrilled to officially welcome Thumbtack to Utah as they expand their innovative and fast growing technology service, bringing hundreds of new jobs to our economy,” said Gov. Gary Herbert.
Within the last quarter, the company sent $2.5 million worth of business to 1,900 professionals in Salt Lake City.
Thumbtack connects customers with specific needs with qualified professionals in their area.
