Three New Tenants Sign at 257 Tower

Press Release

February 10, 2014

Salt Lake City – The Salt Lake City office of CBRE has announced that three new tenants have signed leases totaling 31,547 square feet at 257 Tower in Salt Lake City.

Located in Salt Lake’s downtown commercial business district at 257 East 200 South, 257 Tower is an Energy Star Certified office building. The entire top floor of the building, totaling 20,420 square feet, was leased by Aetna, a diversified health care benefits company.

Mark Alexander, senior vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle, represented Aetna in the transaction. Dart Adamson & Donovan, LLC—a local law firm—has leased 9,443 square feet on one of the building’s upper floors. Eric Smith represented Dart Adamson & Donovan.

CBRE’s Eric Smith, first vice president, and Jessmine Kim, associate, represented the landlord, 257 Holdings, LLC (an affiliate of Nearon Enterprises) in the transactions.

“257 Tower offers a great amenity base and large floor plates,” Smith said. “Dart Adamson & Donovan specifically chose this location because they were looking to establish their presence in a building with high-class renovations.”

The building also has a new restaurant tenant that has signed a 1,684-square-foot lease on the first floor. The Panini Fix, a custom sandwich shop, is now open. Jami Marsh, vice president with Coldwell Banker Commercial Intermountain, represented The Panini Fix.

“The tenants in the building are excited to have this new on-site restaurant,” Smith said. “The Panini Fix provides a valuable amenity to the building.”

In 2012, 257 Tower underwent renovations to the building’s exterior entry, which include modernized lighting and finishes, new monument signage, architectural details and a new ADA elevator. Pending design approval, there are also plans to renovate the building’s main lobby and courtyard in 2014.
