Capital Broadcasting/KLO Broadcasting based in Salt Lake City, Utah has purchased The Jack 103.1 FM from the SLC Divestiture Trust.
According to John Webb, president of Capital Broadcasting/KLO Broadcasting, the 103.1 frequency will be used to simulcast conservative talk KLO 1430 AM. This acquisition will improve the availability of the KLO format. Webb indicates News Talk is a leading radio format category nation-wide.
The Current KLO line up consists of a local morning talk show with Walter Platz and Simone Seikaly, and top rated national talk show hosts Laura Ingraham, Clark Howard, Michael Medved, Dennis Miller, Michael Savage and Rusty Humphries.
Webb said, “We feel confident the Salt Lake-Ogden-Provo market will welcome these hosts to the FM band.” The 1430 AM 103.1 FM simulcast is scheduled to begin July 16th, 2012.
Capital Broadcasting also owns and operates NOW 97.9 FM.
