The Gateway Shopping Center celebrated the grand opening of its two newest tenants, Blickenstaff’s and Called to Surf August 9.
Blickenstaff’s will hold a licorice-cutting ceremony as part of their celebrations – fitting for the vintage toy and candy shop. Called to Surf, a surf and skate shop, and Blickenstaff’s both hosted games and giveaways as part of the festivities.
“These locally owned and operated shops are vibrant additions to The Gateway,” said Scott Bennett, general manager for The Gateway and RPAI Southwest Management LLC., a subsidiary of Retail Properties of America, Inc. “The youthful energy they bring to our shopping center is a perfect fit.”
The Gateway also looks forward to opening this fall of two new restaurants, La Jolla Groves and Malawi’s Pizza.
