The Buckner Company Acquires Leonardson Insurance

Recent successes in the Idaho market prompted The Buckner Company to expand its operations further in the state with the purchase of Leonardson Insurance, in Rexburg, Idaho.  Effective Feb. 1, 2012, this transaction will provide The Buckner Company the privilege of  acquiring new employees in Rexburg and serving the insurance needs of the many clients who were loyal to Leonardson Insurance.

When the option of purchasing Leonardson Insurance presented itself, Brad Nielson, President of The Buckner Company of Idaho, saw a great opportunity.  “Madison County is home for me,” said Nielson.  “I know the people in the Rexburg area and I know of the high quality and caliber of the business owners and families.  The Buckner Company’s mission is to provide customized insurance plans for businesses and individual families, while maintaining our integrity and commitment to excellent customer service.  Rexburg and the surrounding communities share the same values that we do and it will be a great fit for us to have a presence in this area.  We are happy to now have a branch office in Rexburg and look forward to serving the insurance needs of our friends and neighbors there.”

The Buckner Company’s Rexburg office, located at 1109 Summers Drive, will consist of two seasoned Account Executives—Jason Nielson and Jason Littlefield.  The support staff is made up of three experienced insurance professionals—Stacey Farrow, Account Manager; Barbara Brown, Assistant Account Manager; and Vickie Muir, Assistant Account Manager.

The Buckner Company, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, now occupies four offices in two states.  Despite the instability of the current economic state, the firm continues to grow and look for acquisition opportunities throughout the West.  Diversification of the niche markets they cater to has allowed The Buckner Company to continue to successfully expand, with visions of an even brighter future ahead.
