The Ark of Little Cottonwood, a Utah-based multi-disorder treatment center, has moved from its original location at 2919 Granite Hollow St. in Sandy, Utah to a facility in Provo located at 299 East 900 S. The facility is now accepting patients.
The Provo facility is approximately 18,000-square feet and includes 44 beds.
The Ark of Little Cottonwood treats individuals for a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, drug and alcohol dependency, eating disorders and addictive behavior (for a range of topics that includes gambling, sex, pornography and even shopping).
In addition to providing services for the general public, The Ark of Little Cottonwood in Provo will also provide treatment for former military personnel through an agreement with the Veterans Administration. The Ark of Little Cottonwood has provided services to veterans since 2010.
According to The Ark of Little Cottonwood’s Executive Director Laura Boberg, “We’re delighted to relocate to the Provo area and to become a part of this community. I believe our presence here will play a key role in helping hundreds of residents within the next few years.”
The Ark of Little Cottonwood originally opened in August 1999 in its Sandy location. The Sandy facility had 24 beds.
