Sundance – http://www.sundanceresort.com/">Sundance Mountain Resort has announced plans for a new zip line tour, which is planned to be the longest in Utah and the third-longest in the United States.
Sundance plans to break ground on the nearly two-mile Sundance ZipTour in September and open it in May 2015.
The attraction is designed and will be constructed by http://www.ziprider.com/">Terra-Nova LLC, based in Park City. It will let guests ride side-by-side as they zip down the mountain and witness views of Mount Timpanogos. With a vertical drop of over 2,100 feet, the Sundance ZipTour is expected to have the most vertical zip line drop in the country.
“ZipTour is a game-changing addition to our recreation offerings at Sundance Mountain Resort,” said resort general manager Chad Linebaugh. “ZipTour will bring an unparalleled zip line experience to our visitors and will give outdoor enthusiasts of all ages a spectacular new way to enjoy the beauty our resort has to offer year-round.”
ZipTour will have four individual line spans, including the sixth-longest zip line span in the United States. Each span will let visitors customize their zip line experience.
“Highlighting nature is an important element of any project we choose to undertake at Sundance Mountain Resort,” said Linebaugh. “ZipTour is designed to provide a unique and exhilarating experience, while at the same time providing educational and historical fun facts at varied points along the ride.”
