“The motion capture, virtual sets and production pre-visualization capabilities of this digital media creation platform are important to our technology strategy for Park City Film Studios,” says Greg Ericksen, chairman of Park City Film Studios. “The platform provides our clients with a comprehensive virtual filmmaking capability.”
“The sound stage is another step forward in our ongoing effort to create the top advanced digital media program in the world,” says Michael Savoie, Utah Valley University dean of computer technology.
“Our collaboration with Park City Film Studios means the next generation of digital artists will have a home where education, research, development and commercialization of ideas and vision can occur.”
As part of the digital stage acquisition, entertainment industry veteran Ron Fischer joined the studio team to direct installation and development of the virtual stage technology.
