StorageCraft Technology Corporation, a provider of best-in-class backup, disaster recovery, system migration and data protection solutions for servers, desktops and laptops, announced the launch of the StorageCraft Training and Certification program, designed to offer technical and sales training to partners who are interested in increasing their ability to offer value-added services to their customers.
“Because disaster recovery is mission-critical to all kinds of organizations, the marketplace is demanding a way to identify those who possess the skills necessary to provide disaster recovery solutions. Our new training courses and certification offer that reassurance,” said Brandon Nordquist, vice president of product management at StorageCraft.
The program ensures that sales and technical professionals receive the training needed to effectively sell, configure, and manage the complete line of StorageCraft business continuity solutions and services by sharing technical product knowledge of StorageCraft backup and disaster recovery solutions, as well as important business continuity practices.
Participating partners will get technical product instruction on StorageCraft backup solutions, as well as important disaster recovery practices in instructor-led courses on two different levels:
StorageCraft Professional Training
This training level provides the technical and sales foundation for partners who want to improve their ability to position and sell StorageCraft products. Course topics include disaster recovery planning, in-depth StorageCraft product training and best practices. Participants will gain the expertise and tools necessary to offer business continuity solutions to customers.
StorageCraft Engineer Training
This course builds on the Professional Training course. It provides a deeper look at disaster recovery planning, environment configuration and troubleshooting. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of StorageCraft ShadowProtect and ShadowControl disaster recovery solutions through hands-on training in both instructor-led and lab-based environments. The partner receives the status of StorageCraft Certified Engineer upon completing the course assessment.
Partners who complete StorageCraft Engineer level training can then build on that knowledge by attending Advanced Topics (AT) courses, which will be available later in 2012. These classes provide expert-level training on specific disaster recovery topics and scenarios. Each AT training session provides partners with the expertise necessary to create specialized disaster recovery-related professional services offerings.
“Our goal is to provide partners with more revenue opportunities, greater customer satisfaction, increased customer retention and an improved industry reputation as a result of earning certification in these courses,” said Nordquist.
