St. George — Star Nursery has announced the opening of its third store in the St. George area. The new store is located at 1335 S. Dixie Drive, and Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce brokered the transaction. The closing has already occurred and Star Nursery is now stocking the new store to be ready for spring planting season.
“St. George is growing and growing quickly,” said Judy Navarrete, director of operations for Star Nursery. “Star Nursery recognized the need to open a third store in this market, and Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce was a great partner in finding the space. We’re excited to expand our ability to meet the needs of gardeners and landscapers in all of St. George.”
Star Nursery also recently announced it will open a new store in Mesquite, Nevada. Travis J. Parry, director of the St. George office of Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce, represented Star Nursery on both acquisitions. “It’s exciting to see the expansion of Star Nursery, with an additional location in St. George and its first store in the Mesquite market,” Parry said.
In St. George, Star purchased the former Backyard Gardens Nursery. With the seven-acre site, Star plans to operate a full-scale nursery, in addition to a landscape rock yard. According to Parry, the nursery is already set up with a water reclamation system that will be used to help conserve water usage for the nursery.
