Draper – Savers, a national thrift store chain, opened its eighth store in Utah last week, which will operate in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah.
The store held a celebration on Thursday, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a chance for attendees to win a $100 Savers gift certificate.
The Draper store’s partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah means Savers pays the organization for every donated item.
“We’ve partnered with Savers since 2005 and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with the new Draper opening,” said Pam Sanders, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah. “The money we receive is so important to benefitting children facing adversity, so we encourage everyone in the community get in touch with us and schedule a donation home pick-up or drop off their gently used items at the store’s on-site community donation center.”
“We’re very excited to open our first store in Draper,” said Boyd Gurney, the new store manager.
The Draper store is located at 1166 East Draper Parkway.
