Salt Lake City — Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce has announced the availability, via pre-lease, of office space in 111 Main Office Tower, a 24-story office tower expected to be completed in 2016. The building has been designed by architectural firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Hamilton Partners.
Chris Kirk, senior director of office and investments for Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce, is the leasing broker for 111 Main Office Tower.
“This beautifully designed architectural icon reflects the strength of Utah’s prime urban center in Salt Lake City,” Kirk said.
The ground floor will feature retail, and the upper floors will offer 440,000 rentable square feet of office area. The average floor size will consist of 21,000 square-foot floor plates, column-free design, floor-to-ceiling glass, with nine-foot ceilings and sixteen-inch raised floors throughout.
The design includes innovative seismic engineering standards and to increase energy conservation, it will be equipped with automated HVAC systems. When completed, it is anticipated the building will be receive LEED Gold Certification.
The development is scheduled to break ground in the summer of 2014, and tenants may take occupancy as early as the second quarter of 2016.
