SHAWN TURPIN has accepted an additional management position with PSI, overseeing its PacifiCorp Special Project. He is also the concurrent geotechnical and environmental services department manager based in PSI’s Salt Lake City office. Turpin has been with PSI since May 2010.

JON SOLDAN is the new director of the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. The MSIS program, created in 2009, trains leaders who drive the technology of business.

LORENZ SCHWARZ joined Green River Capital, an REO asset management and loss mitigation provider for mortgage servicers, investment firms, credit unions and banking institutions, as COO. Schwarz will also supervise the operations of GR Financial, a short-sale company, as well as Infinity Valuation Services, a BPO provider. Schwarz brings more than 20 years of experience in the commercial and residential mortgage servicing industries to the position.

JONI L. HANSEN was named vice president at Brighton Bank, where she will also continue to serve as human resources manager. Hansen has been with the bank since 1980 and has held several positions including operations officer and operations compliance officer.

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Salt Lake City Chapter, has named KRIS RUDARMEL, owner of Anchor Water Damage & Restoration, the Woman Business Owner of The Year for 2011. Anchor Water Damage & Restoration provides carpet cleaning, emergency flood service and mold remediation.

DAVE NAZARE joined HDR’s Salt Lake City office as transportation business group manager. He will lead HDR’s local staff of more than 70 transportation engineers, technicians and construction managers, and collaborate with more than 30 local HDR environmental planners and scientists, real estate professionals and public involvement managers.

Venafi, the inventor of enterprise key and certificate management solutions, appointed veteran customer services executive DAVE CUTLER to the position of vice president, worldwide customer support. The appointment expands the breadth and depth of the Venafi executive team as the company rapidly expands its customer base and the geographies it serves.

EDA Architects promoted two employees to the position of associate. AMELIA MCRAE has been with EDA for eight years as an interior designer. She has extensive experience in space planning, interior design, sustainable design strategies and workplace ergonomics. JAKE HILL has been in the architectural and construction industry for more than 18 years. As a project manager and BIM specialist, Hill has been involved in many of EDA’s most significant projects.

DENISE A. DRAGOO, a partner in Snell & Wilmer’s Salt Lake City office, has been elected president of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute (RMCMI). Dragoo is the second woman to hold the top office since 1912.

Salt Lake Chamber President and CEO LANE BEATTIE was named to the board of directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Beattie is one of 13 new members elected to the 129-member board, which consists of the top executives from some of the country’s most successful businesses. Beattie has been elected to a two-year term.

DANE E. HUGGARD joined BHB’s team as a project engineer. TRAVIS R. BRACKUS also joined BHB as a project engineer.


Talisker Mountain Inc., a Park City-based real estate development and all season mountain resort, appointed TED WILSON director of government affairs. Wilson will supervise interaction with stakeholders involved in land-use issues with the company, with an emphasis on projects at Canyons Resort. Wilson brings more than four decades of experience in practical politics, governing, administration, mediation and international humanitarian work to Talisker.

ANDRÉA HEFFNER was appointed director of sales and marketing for The St. Regis Deer Valley. She joins The St. Regis from the Palace Hotel, a Starwood Luxury Collection property in San Francisco, where she served as the director of group sales. Heffner began working with Starwood Hotels & Resorts as the director of sales for the Westin in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands in 2007.


Chartway Federal Credit Union and its division of SouthWest Community Credit Union named JEFF MCBRIDE regional president. During his nearly 18-year career with SouthWest Community, McBride has held a number of leadership positions.
