HireVue appointed DAVID BRADFORD as its new CEO. Bradford previously worked as the CEO of Fusion-io. He has a long track record of success as an executive, entrepreneur and venture capitalist.
The Salt Lake Chamber awarded BEVERLEY TAYLOR SORENSON the 2011 Athena Award at the 35th Annual Salt Lake Chamber Women’s Business Center American Express Women & Business Conference and Wells Fargo Athena Award luncheon.

KATHRYN CLARK was promoted to vice president of safety and health at Workers Compensation Fund (WCF). Clark led WCF’s seminar and occupational health programs for the last six years and is certified through the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. The company also promoted BOB SHORT to executive vice president. Short joined WCF as senior vice president of claims in 1993.
EMI Health hired BEN LEWIS as assistant vice president of provider relations and network development. Lewis joins EMI Health after more than 25 years with Intermountain Healthcare.
DR. MICHAEL KAUFMAN joined Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah as executive medical director. Kaufman has been the chief medical officer of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, WellPoint Health Networks and PacifiCare.
Black Diamond, Inc. hired BRIAN MECHAM as director of North America sales for its Black Diamond brand. Mecham comes to Black Diamond from Patagonia, where he served as the western regional sales manager.
SCOTT JACKSON was selected as service center manager for Security Service Federal Credit Union’s Orem location. Jackson is responsible for the overall operation of the service center, including cash operations, member service and facility maintenance.
RON BURT joined the South Davis Community Hospital as its newest member of the board of directors. Burt is the co-founder of Burt Brothers Tire & Service, Inc. with seven locations along the Wasatch Front and Park City.
DR. KEITH NELSON performed Cache Valley’s first robotically assisted total knee replacement. This advancement in technology increases surgical accuracy and alignment and improves joint performance and longevity. Nelson was specially trained with the new iBlock technology.
STEVE GLEASON joined Bank of Utah as a vice president in business banking. Gleason formerly worked for Wells Fargo Bank as senior vice president and manager of Northern Utah business banking and industry specialist groups.
THOMAS LANDHOLT was named medical director for Qvera. Landholt will assist Qvera with strategic product planning and direction. His past experience includes similar roles at industry-leading healthcare IT companies such as MedicaLogic, GE, Kryptiq and MassPRO.
KEN OHLINGER is the new chef at the Aerie Restaurant, Lounge and Sushi Bar. Ohlinger most recently worked at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Winter Park, Colo. Additionally, LUCETTE BARBIER was named the new manager of the Aerie Restaurant, Lounge and Sushi Bar. Barbier earned a master’s degree in hospitality and restaurant business in France.
Sundance Institute appointed SARAH EATON director of media relations. Eaton oversees media relations for all programs of the nonprofit institute, including the annual Sundance Film Festival.
DEEDEE CORRADINI was elected as president of the International Women’s Forum. The program is run in conjunction with Harvard Business School and INSEAD’s Global Leadership Center in Fontainebleau, France.
MARK MURPHY was named general manager of Deer Valley Resort Lodging and Reservation’s Trail’s End Lodge. Murphy has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including his most recent position in Telluride, Colo., where he has served as the general manager of Bear Creek Lodge.
