The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System named PETER METCALF a director of the Salt Lake City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for a three-year term that began Jan. 1, 2014. Metcalf is the founder, president and CEO of Black Diamond, Inc.
Snapp Conner PR added GINA KAILLÉT as a senior PR manager. Kaillét brings more than 26 years of public relations, marketing, communications and advertising experience to the agency.
LifeVantage Corporation appointed SHAWN TALBOTT as global chief science officer. Talbott has served as a nutrition consultant for professional triathletes, members of the Utah Jazz, and the United States Ski and Snowboard Association during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, among others.
Celtic Bank hired MICHAEL CARON as vice president of business development in the asset-based lending group. Caron has more than 30 years of experience in commercial banking and finance.
Westminster College appointed MICHAEL PACANOWSKY as the newly created Gore-Giovale Chair in Business Innovation within the school’s College of Business. Prior to joining Westminster, Pacanowsky was an associate at W.L. Gore & Associates.
The Governor’s Office of Economic Development added MARGARET LASECKE-JACOBS and JOSH ROMNEY to its economic development board. Lasecke-Jacobs currently serves on the Sundance Institute Utah advisory board. Romney is the founder of The Romney Group, which owns and operates multifamily, office and industrial properties throughout the United States.
The Alzheimer’s Association of Utah/Eastern Idaho appointed RONNIE DANIEL as executive director. Daniel has worked as the development director for the Natural History Museum of Utah at the University of Utah and most recently as the development director at the Living Planet Aquarium.
Numira, a company that specializes in high-resolution, 3D imaging services and visualization software, appointed HAL WIDLANSKY as CEO. Widlansky previously served as president and COO of Radiate Media.
WDB Funding, LLC appointed ANDREW POLLOCK as president and CEO. Pollock has 25 years of experience heading large-scale lending operations, including Global Logic Advisors and First Franklin.
The board of trustees of the Utah Hospital Association promoted DAVID C. GESSEL to executive vice president. Gessel is a senior member of the UHA staff, serving as vice president of government relations and legal affairs since 1994.
The Springville Chamber of Commerce selected ROD OLDROYD as Citizen of the Year. He has served on multiple boards and councils, including Springville City Council, and has worked to improve relations between the city and businesses.
