Friendemic hired STEVEN PEARSON as its CEO. Pearson joined Friendemic in June, having previously worked at Google, Vector Capital and McKinsey & Company.

The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah hired DAVE HARRIS as director of its full-time MBA program. Previously, Harris served as CEO of University Prep Café.

The Utah Health Policy Project hired MATT SLONAKER as its new executive director. Most recently, Matt worked as UHPP’s director of Medicaid policy and collaboration.

Allegiance appointed ED REILLY as executive vice president of worldwide sales. He previously worked for BMC Software and Symantec.

Mindshare Technologies restructured its management team. KURT WILLIAMS was appointed chief product officer, DEREK NEWBOLD became chief technology officer, NATE CALL is now the vice president of client experience, CHAD HORTON is vice president of insights and GREG LLOYD is now the vice president of customer experience strategy.

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development hired KEVIN JESSING as life science cluster director. Jessing has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Roseman University appointed FRANK LICARI as dean of the College of Dental Medicine-South Jordan. He was previously associate dean for academic affairs at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois.

MoneyDesktop hired JIM KERN as vice president of business development. Kern previously served as executive managing director for ITRS America, Inc.

Vivint appointed DAVID BYWATER as its new COO. He previously spent 10 years working at Affiliated Computer Services (ACS).

PHILIP GUNTHER was recently promoted to senior vice president and chief credit administration officer at Bank of American Fork. He has more than 20 years of banking experience at Bank of American Fork.

JEFF WILKS was appointed chair of the Brigham Young University School of Accountancy. Wilks joined the Marriott School in 2000.

TAB Bank appointed JAN ALLEN ACKLEY as vice president of asset-based lending. Ackley has more than 24 years of banking experience.

South Davis Community Hospital named LISA ROSKELLEY as the executive officer for the SDCH Foundation.

ALAN HALL was re-elected chair of the Weber State University board of trustees. Hall, chairman of MarketStar and founder of Grow Utah Ventures, has served as chair of the trustees since 2010.

Skullcandy, Inc. appointed HEIDI O’NEILL to its board of directors. O’Neill is vice president and general manager of women’s training and fitness at Nike, Inc.

Wrona Law Firm added attorneys STEVE GORDON and SCOTT DUBOIS and changed its name to Wrona, Gordon & Dubois.

SARA LAYTON was named American Board Utah Teacher of the Year. Layton is an English teacher with Mountain Heights Academy, an online Utah-based charter school.

DEAN R. BURDICK of HintonBurdick CPAs & Advisors was named Outstanding CPA in Public Practice by the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
