Salt Lake Area

The board of trustees at Westminster College named DR. BRIAN L. LEVIN-STANKEVICH as the college’s 17th president. Levin-Stankevich has been the chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire since 2006. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Hamilton College and a Ph.D. from SUNY.

LAURA S. KAISER is the new executive vice president and COO of Intermountain Healthcare. She previously was president and CEO of Sacred Heart Health System based in Pensacola, Fla.

Big-D Construction recently hired DREW WATKINS as senior project manager. Watkins has more than 37 years of experience in the construction industry, and he will oversee projects and provide additional leadership to the Big-D team.

Needle expanded its executive team with the appointment BRIAN BOND as the company’s new vice president of product strategy. Bond will set the strategic vision and lead the execution of new features and products in SEM, SEO and retargeting that will leverage Needle’s community of experts.

mediaFORGE added two industry thought leaders to its advisory board, NEAL RICHTER and QAYED SHAREEF. Richter, chief scientist for The Rubicon Project, brings 15 years of experience as a software engineer and scientist. Shareef recently served as an executive vice president of business development at Epic Media Group.

Snapp Conner PR added Kelly Wanlass to its senior PR consultancy team. Wanlass is a senior-level public relations consultant with more than 15 years experience.

The Buckner Company added RYAN LOFTIN to its Salt Lake City office. Loftin has worked with commercial clients from a variety of backgrounds including contractors, oil and gas companies, auto dealers and building material suppliers, among many others.

J. MICHAEL JENSEN has been promoted to vice president and controller of Brighton Bank. In addition to his new responsibilities, he will continue functioning as the bank’s accounting information officer and systems manager.

Hatch & Associates law firm hired TAMMY EVANS as marketing and corporate development director. She has worked for more than 19 years with several national companies in marketing, public relations, promotions and events. DEAN L. OFFRET joined the firm as law clerk and new client strategist. He brings 15 years of experience helping companies strategize and create marketing plans for new-market entry.

FLSmidth promoted PETER J. FLANAGAN to its executive leadership team. Flanagan was selected to serve as a member of group executive management and as executive vice president of FLSmidth’s newly formed non-ferrous division, which provides advanced minerals processing technologies, systems and solutions to the global mining industry.

Real Property Management hired LUKAS KRAUSE as its vice president of operations. Krause brings a decade of experience in management, process engineering and building franchising services. Previously, he was responsible for leading Quiznos’ international division.

Northern Area

The Buckner Company added JEREMY STUCKI and MICAH ZABRISKIE as insurance executives in its Ogden office. Stucki and Zabriskie have worked with commercial clients from a variety of backgrounds.

President and CEO of Woodbury Technologies, Inc., KAREN WOODBURY, was selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the 2012 Utah State Small Business Person of the Year. She was chosen for her hard work, innovative ideas and dedication to community.

JD Machine hired BRYAN CROWELL as general manager. Crowell brings 25 years of experience in manufacturing, quality and operations in the defense and automotive industries. He is specifically trained in the methodologies of the Toyota Production System and has managed repeat Shingo Award winning operations.            

Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM honored GRANT DAHLSTROM, general manager of the hotel’s Bountiful location, with the 2011 General Manager of the Year Award. The award is presented to the general manager who has provided the highest standard of leadership, particularly in the areas of sales and profit achievement, guest service, green initiatives implementation, charitable giving and community involvement.

Southern Utah

JONATHAN P. WENTZ joined the law firm Snow Jensen & Reece as an associate attorney focusing on commercial litigation, real estate and commercial transactions.

THAD D. SEEGMILLER was hired as an associate attorney at Jones Waldo. Prior to joining Jones Waldo, he was with Seegmiller Law in St. George.
