ROB RENICK joined the Xcape1 management team as its executive vice president of sales. Renick brings nearly two decades of business-related experience to Xcape1, with the last 10 years filling executive positions for various companies that service the direct sales industry.
GRANT E. GUSTAFSON was appointed as a new member of Headwaters Incorporated’s board of directors. Gustafson presently serves as a private equity senior adviser, focusing on industrial products and distribution. Prior to this, he worked with James Hardie Building Products.
HOWARD SALMON joined Equation as principal. Salmon will help address the multiple, complex issues facing physicians and hospitals across the country as they contend with the economics and regulations of healthcare reform.
DAVID R. HOOPES, CPA was named audit partner at Teuscher Ruf & Walpole, LLC. Most recently, Hoopes served the firm as director of audit. Hoope has experience managing large- and medium-sized audit engagements for publicly and privately held businesses, with expertise in the transportation, distribution, oil and gas, retail, construction, manufacturing and financial industries.
Black Diamond, Inc. appointed WALTER M. WILHELM as vice president of business process. Wilhelm brings more than 15 years of experience in the outdoor and action sports markets. The company also appointed GLENN RITTER to the position of senior director of supply chain management, where he will be responsible for strategic vendor management, purchasing, logistics, planning and customer support functions.
Big-D Construction promoted RICH HAZEL to vice president. Hazel will be involved in all management aspects of the division, including sales, estimating, project management and field construction.
TriQuest Fundraising appointed RUSTY BENTLEY as president. Bentley has guided the company as vice president for the previous two years. In his new role, Bentley will oversee all major business decisions as well as the company’s overall day-to-day activity.

Big-D Construction promoted GIFFORD BRIGGS to vice president. Briggs will oversee all management aspects of the firm’s Lindon office, including business development, estimating, project management and field construction.
Adaptive Computing added ALAN TAYLOR to its management team as CFO. Taylor was hired to ensure that the company has a solid, forward-thinking, financial plan as it continues its rapid growth.
SOUTHERN UTAH
JOHN BERGER joined the law firm of Dixon, Truman, Fisher, and Clifford. Berger prosecuted more than 100 cases in Kansas as a licensed intern for the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office.
Gov. Gary R. Herbert appointed V. LOWRY SNOW to Utah House District 74. Snow is a founding partner of the St. George-based law firm Snow Jensen & Reece. He has worked as an attorney in real estate, civil litigation, business and land use planning. He has served as president of the Utah State Bar, as well as a board member of the Southern Utah Community Legal Center.
