Salt Lake City — The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah hired DAVE HARRIS as director of the full-time MBA program. Prior to joining the school, Harris served as CEO of University Prep Café, a college- and career-readiness company he founded that is based in Oklahoma City

Salt Lake City, Utah — Four judges have been elected to serve three-year terms on the Utah Judicial Council Court of Appeals: JAMES Z. DAVIS, RANDALL N. SKANCHY, THOMAS M. HIGBEE and DAVID C. MARX have replaced GREGORY K. ORME, JUDITH ATHERTON, LARRY A. STEELE and BRENDAN P. MCCULLAGH, who have completed their terms.

Salt Lake City — The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah hired J. DANIEL “DANNY” WALL as an associate professor of finance and director the Master of Science in Finance program and the Master of Real Estate Development program.

Wall spent the past seven years working full-time as an appraiser and consultant.

Salt Lake City — Health insurance provider EMI Health named RYAN LOWTHER executive vice president and chief operating officer. Lowther was most recently EMI Health’s vice president of operations and underwriting.

Salt Lake City — Gov. Gary R. Herbert named ANN SILVERBERG WILLIAMSON the executive director of the Utah Department of Human Services. Williamson previously served as president and CEO of Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) in Baton Rouge.  

Salt Lake City — THOMAS GOODWIN joined Parr Brown Gee & Loveless as an associate.

Park City — BILL MALONE, president and CEO of the Park City Chamber/Bureau, became president of the Western Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus at the association’s annual conference.

West Jordan — Mountain America Financial Services appointed JARED JOHNSTONE as president. Prior to his appointment he served as the vice president of deposit operations and business services for Mountain America.
