Gov. Gary R. Herbert appointed PAUL B. PARKER to fill a vacancy on the Third District Court bench. Before his appointment, Parker served as division administrator and prosecutor for the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office from 1989 to 2013.

InsideSales.com appointed MICK HOLLISON, former Citrix global vice president of integrated marketing and strategy, as its new CMO. He joined the company on June 3, 2013.

Westminster named LISA GENTILE as the new dean of the college’s School of Arts and Sciences, and NOHEMY SOLÓRZANO-THOMPSON as the associate provost for diversity and global learning. Their appointments will begin July 1.

The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah hired entrepreneur and educator DAVE HARRIS as its new director of the full-time MBA. Harris founded University Prep Cafe, a college and career readiness company, for which he also served as CEO.

Corrective Education Company hired the following people:

  • JEFF MITCHELL, Chief Executive Officer;
  • RICHARD HADDRILL, chairman of the board;
  • GROVER TRASK, head of strategic government affairs;
  • JEFF POWERS, senior vice president of business development; and
  • MIKE MCINELLY, vice president of product and operations.

Mindshare Technologies appointed STEVE WEISZ chairman of the company’s board of trustees. He is president and chief executive officer of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation.

St. George — Axiom Financial appointed BRANDON WELCH as branch manager of its St. George office. He was most recently a principal at United Principal Mortgage.

Ogden — Bank of Utah hired KRIS JENSEN to serve as a mortgage loan originator in its main Ogden branch. Jensen has been director of sales for ActionRun, LLC, a sales representative for Castle & Cooke Mortgage, LLC, and a sales manager for Bank of America and Republic Mortgage.
