Salt Lake City — Parsons Behle & Latimer attorney WILLIAM J. STILLING was installed as president of the American Society for Pharmacy Law at the organization’s annual meeting in March.  He will serve a one-year term.

Salt Lake City — CHARLES R. AHLSTROM joined the firm Callister Nebeker & McCullough as an attorney. Charles focuses on family-related issues, including divorce, custody disputes and protective orders.  

Salt Lake City — For the second time in five years, the United Kingdom’s Princess Anne gave the Whitley Gold Award for conservation to University of Utah biologist ÇAĞAN ŞEKERCIOĞLU. Şekercioğlu is the first person to win the Whitley Gold Award twice from the Whitley Fund for Nature. He previously won in 2008 while working at Stanford University.

Salt Lake City — Gov. Gary R. Herbert named CARLOS BRACERAS the executive director of the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) following a nationwide search to replace retired former executive director JOHN NJORD. Braceras joined UDOT in 1986.

Salt Lake City — JIM PIVIROTTO and JAMES MERRILL joined the Salt Lake City office of CBRE. Pivirotto has joined the asset services group as a real estate manager. Merrill has joined the office as an associate specializing in industrial brokerage services.

Salt Lake City — ELIZABETH KNIGHT has been appointed as the new director of the Office of Guardian ad Litem. Knight replaces RICK SMITH who was appointed by Gov. Gary Herbert in Nov. 2012.

Salt Lake City — MARK JENSEN has joined Newmark Grubb ACRES. He was formerly formerly a senior director of investments with Cushman & Wakefield / Commerce.

Draper — The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has announced that JOHN E. “JACK” PELO, president and CEO of Swire Coca-Cola of Draper was appointed as the newest member of the Twelfth District's Economic Advisory Council Pelo’s term will expire at the end of 2015. Pelo has been president and CEO of Swire Coca-Cola USA since 1996.

Salt Lake City — EDA Architects has appointed EVAN CINDRICH, ROBERTH HERMAN and STEPHANIE MCCARTHY to principal.
