MARK HURST, of Connect Partners, has been appointed to serve as Grow America CEO. Hurst has played a key role in the formation of the Grow America Springboard programs and in the creation of the Grow America brand.
SUSAN SIMPSON joined Sterling Ascend Insurance Resources as vice president. Simpson has more than 30 years experience in the commercial insurance industry, primarily servicing large corporate clients throughout Utah. She is the first Utah executive to be hired by the firm, which established operations in Park City last year with plans to expand into the Utah and Intermountain West markets.
The Salt Lake City office of CBRE added BILL PARRY as project management director. Parry will oversee build-to-suit designs, tenant improvements and project management jobs throughout the Wasatch Front market. RICHARD SCHMID joined CBRE as a researcher. MARY HOLLIGER-WRIGHT joined as a researcher and will focus on database organization and expanding market coverage. EMILY MELLOR was hired as a marketing coordinator; TAYLOR DAHLE as a sales associate; and STAN SUNDAY as a transaction manager for CBRE’s global corporate services team.
Dental Select promoted JEFF VAN LEEUWEN to manager of Utah sales. Van Leeuwen will lead Utah sales in executing new growth strategies, developing working relations and providing support to existing clients. He has more than 17 years of experience in the group insurance industry working with employer sponsored and voluntary benefit plans including dental, medical, 401(k), disability, vision and life insurance.
TAB Bank appointed BURTON MAY as chief operating officer. May has been with TAB since 2003, most recently serving in the role of vice president of deposit and card operations. In his previous role May provided oversight and supervision to TAB’s suite of deposit and card products including the bank’s MoneyCard, Business Alliance, and Business Advantage accounts. He also managed other deposit products and services including savings accounts, CDs, IRAs, and commercial banking services.
