Salt Lake City – Moreton & Company has sold its headquarters building and signed a new lease at 101 Tower. Located at 709 East South Temple, the headquarters building was constructed in 1979. Moreton has owned and occupied the 43,000-square-foot office building since 1998. Scott Wilmarth and Nadia Letey of CBRE represented Moreton in both the sale and lease transactions.
“A major factor in Moreton’s decision to sell the South Temple property was the opportunity to customize its new office space,” Wilmarth said. “Recognizing how important office environments are to the workforce, Moreton plans on using design and industry best practices to create a more efficient and vibrant atmosphere for its employees at 101 Tower.”
Currently under construction at 101 South 200 East, 101 Tower is designed to be a 144,000-square-foot, class A office building. Moreton plans to move its offices to the new Tower upon construction completion—anticipated to occur summer, 2014—making the space its new headquarters. Moreton will occupy the third and fourth floors of the building. The company’s south valley office will continue to operate from its current location in Sandy.
