U.S. News & World Report ranked LDS Hospital as one of the “Best Hospitals in America,” and has recognized three other Intermountain Healthcare hospitals for their high-performing medical specialties.
LDS Hospital ranked 29th nationally in gynecology and the overall top hospital in Utah. The facility was recognized for having five high-performing specialties in addition to its national ranking in gynecology. Those specialties are: cancer, gastroenterology, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology.
Murray’s Intermountain Medical Center is listed with eight high-performing specialties: cardiology/heart surgery, diabetes/endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, gynecology, nephrology, pulmonology and urology.
McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden is recognized for five high-performing specialties: gastroenterology, geriatrics, nephrology, pulmonology and urology.
Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo has four high performing specialties: gastroenterology, geriatrics, pulmonology and urology.
Rankings are based on a hospital’s reputation as measured by a survey of medical specialists, outcomes, volumes, service excellence ratings, mortality rates and other measures related to patient care, including data collected by the federal government.
