knowonder!, a publisher of children’s literature and learning resources, has launched a new app aimed at improving child literacy by providing new, daily content to parents’ smartphones for free. The app and website offer original fiction stories, non-fiction articles, puzzles, and more.
knowonder! was created with the concept that reading with a child every day is critical for parents who want to ensure a child’s emotional, social, and economic success in life. knowonder! is professionally written and edited, although anyone is encouraged to submit stories, and authors are paid when their work is used. knowonder! also publishes “kid art,” and offers prizes for art and stories from children.
“Educators are well-aware that exposure to words and speech is fundamental for early childhood development,” said Phillip Chipping, founder of knowonder! “Literacy is the foundation of all learning, and knowonder! is the first and only publisher offering a new children's story, every day, to assist teachers, parents, and children in their daily reading requirements.”
The free knowonder! mobile app is available through the Apple App Store, and will be available soon though the Google Play Android Market. For more information about knowonder!, visit knowonder.com.
