Kilgore Companies, a division of Summit Materials, has announced it will acquire Westroc, Inc., a Utah-based aggregates and ready-mix concrete company. Westroc, based in Pleasant Grove, Utah, operates two aggregates sites and seven ready-mix concrete plants along the Wasatch Front.
Westroc was established in 1987 and serves Utah, Salt Lake, Juab, Sanpete and Sevier Counties with ready mix concrete and aggregate products. Westroc’s management team will remain in place as part of the Kilgore group of companies.
“We are delighted to welcome Westroc and its employees to Summit,” said Summit CEO Tom Hill. “The addition of Westroc is a great fit with Summit’s existing business in the Salt Lake area, and we are excited about the combined strength of the operations.”
