Intermountain Healthcare Receives Award

The Gallup Organization has chosen Intermountain Healthcare as one of 27 companies worldwide, and the only organization in Utah, to earn the Gallup Great Workplace Award for 2012.

The Gallup Great Workplace Award is based on overall engagement levels and evidence of a high-engaged workforce’s impact on key business metrics. Gallup compares applicants’ results across its research database composed of millions of work teams in more than 170 countries. The award acknowledges the best-performing workforces in the world and their ability to create an engaged culture.

“Gallup is recognizing our engaged employees who deliver high quality medical care to our patients,” said Dan Zuhlke, Intermountain’s vice president of Human Resources. “Intermountain continues to make a strong commitment to employee engagement, which benefits the communities we serve.”

Of the 27 Gallup award winners, 10 are healthcare organizations. Intermountain is a two-time winner of this award, along with four other organizations this year. During an awards ceremony in May, Intermountain will receive the award in Omaha, Nebraska. Award winners will also present the best practices they applied to their workplaces.
