EM7-25 By Packsize International LLC
On average, products sold on the internet are shipped in boxes that are 35 percent too large. Every time a package is shipped in an oversized box, material is wasted and costs increase. EM7-25 is an on-demand packaging system that solves this problem by creating unique boxes of nearly any size, thus reducing waste and lowering shipping costs.

The EM7-25 system allows companies to easily program an on-site, on-demand machine to produce the right-sized box. The result is no excess packaging and filler, and no need to purchase and store inventory. Companies utilizing the EM7-25 solution are also reducing their environmental footprint.

For example, a single major fulfillment company using the EM7-25 system saves roughly 5 million pounds of finished boxes per year, which saves approximately 90,000 trees.

The total packaging system, which takes up merely 86 square feet, can create a box in as little time as eight seconds. Typical results equal 20 to 35 percent cost and packaging savings over conventional supply chains.

Medical Devices
Andra Gauge By Kosmo Technologies
The Andra Gauge is changing the way a person’s bite is measured. By capturing a patient’s bite in three axes, rather than two, the Andra Gauge provides more precise measurements for devices like those that reduce symptoms of TMJ and sleep apnea.

Measuring in one more axis than other devices has many benefits, says Kosmo Technologies. When creating dental prosthetics or other custom devices, the more precise the measurement, the better the device.

In addition to things like braces or custom sports guards, the Andra Guard has been used to create a custom mouth guard to help those with sleep apnea. Current treatment for sleep apnea requires a bulky mask and access to electricity. Because many people can’t or don’t want to use such masks, the mouth guard has a higher rate of use.

The Andra Gauge is both sophisticated and easy to use and, with its pain reduction and life-saving potential, is quickly changing the industry.

Low Power Ultrasound By Bard Access Systems, Inc.
Current ultrasound machines can be big, expensive and inflexible. The Low Power Ultrasound is changing sonography, including vascular imaging. The machine, made by Bard Access Systems, requires much lower power levels to function than traditional machines, which enables the system to take advantage of wireless technologies.

By allowing the system to go wireless, the ultrasound probe can be un-tethered from the base unit, giving medical professionals much more flexibility. Lowering cost and energy needs while increasing flexibility brings simplicity to ultrasonic procedure.
