The digital interview company HireVue has moved its growing staff to larger, more updated offices in South Jordan.
Mark Newman, HireVue co-founder and chief innovation officer, said the company’s first office eight years ago had a conference room half the size of some of the offices in the new space. The old office’s air conditioning was a bucket of ice in front of a fan.
Now, seeing the company’s growth, Newman said, “The only way to describe it is surreal.” HireVue has added about 50 people in the last year, and now employs nearly 80 people.
Marketing Director Scot Sessions said HireVue’s move was prompted largely by the need for more space. The company is growing and needed room to add more developers and stay creative. He said, “We were sitting on one another in our Draper location.”
The new office, at 10876 S. River Front Parkway, Ste. 600, has large open spaces for teams to meet and come up with new ideas. It also has a zen room, gaming stations, game room, barbecue patio and free cafeteria.
Sessions said the HireVue attitude is “Work hard, play hard,” and they integrated that into the design of the office because they want it to be a fun place to work.
The move into the new office is just part of HireVue’s growth, Newman said, and he wants to make sure the company is part of a legacy of creative companies—so in 10 or 20 years, people can talk about how they worked at HireVue in the early days.
CEO David Bradford said, “The future is very, very bright for HireVue.” He said the company is planning to expand domestically and internationally, with offices likely in London and the Pacific Rim in the next year or two.
