The problems are complex, but we do have answers, we do have solutions. We just need to continue to lock arms and work together, moving forward together. We’re going to emerge on the other side of this with a better system, not just for all of the entities who are here, but for our communities and Utah as a whole.
CAMPBELL: There really are two aspects to wellness. One of them we have discussed—information. There other one, which is different to address, is motivation. Each individual has to have the motivation to make the changes to their health. Addressing those issues is exactly what we need to continue doing. We need to move forward and spread the important news about healthcare.
BENNETT: A lot of employers now are looking at creating self-awareness for the employees and saying, “Maybe we can’t curb our cost for healthcare or for health insurance, but potentially we see our out-of-work days drop. We see people being healthier and living more productive lives.” Employers become a lot more engaged where that becomes the focus.
