Gordmans, Inc., an apparel and home fashions retailer, opened new shops in Utah. The Nebraska-based company continues its rapid expansion by opening its first Utah stores in Farmington and South Jordan. Gordmans’ opened the 50,000-square-foot stores March 15 in South Jordan at The District, Bangerter &114th; and in Farmington at Station Park, I-15 & Park Lane.
“We look forward to welcoming into our stores the Farmington and South Jordan community members, and other Salt Lake City area residents. Our mission is to delight our guests with big savings, big selection and fun, friendly associates,” said Jeff Gordman, president and CEO. “We believe that our fantastic values on high-fashion name brand apparel, accessories and home decor at up to 60 percent off department and specialty store prices every day has enabled our expansion into Utah and across the U.S. Today’s savvy consumer is looking for value, and offering such incredible deals on a wide array of fashion-oriented merchandise really seems to resonate with our guests.”
Like Gordmans’ other stores, the Farmington and South Jordan stores’ open and contemporary designs are further enhanced by a children’s theater and sports-themed television viewing area. Guests will enjoy outstanding customer service in well-organized, easy-to-shop stores.
Gordmans will present checks for $2500 each to the Jordan Education Foundation and Davis Education Foundation on Friday, March 23 to launch Partners in Education fundraising events. Partners in Education is a program for businesses, government agencies, civic groups and faith organizations to make additional educational resources available to local public school systems. Gordmans’ guests at the new stores may participate in these events by purchasing “helping hands” for $1 each from March 15 through April 1. Every dollar raised will directly benefit the school districts.
“Partners in Education provides Gordmans and our guests a means to make a difference in the lives of schoolchildren in the communities served by our stores,” Gordman said. “The collaboration also is a great volunteer opportunity for our associates.”
The new South Jordan Gordmans store has selected Midas Creek Elementary School, and the Farmington Gordmans has chosen Eagle Bay Elementary School as their partner schools.
With the opening of these new stores, Gordmans operates 77 stores in 17 states.
