Falcon’s Ledge, a fly fishing and wingshooting destination lodge in Altamont, Utah, was recently named 2012 Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge of the Year at the annual convention of Orvis endorsed lodge owners and operators. Lodges from across North and South American participated in the meetings and events. Orvis vice-chairman Dave Perkins and vice-president Jim LePage announced the award at the concluding banquet dinner. The award is given to one lodge each year to recognize excellence in customer service, hospitality, fly fishing quality, and the entire Orvis travel experience. The award is determined primarily by customer feedback and reviews, along with many other factors.
Falcon’s Ledge, the only Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge in Utah, was established in 1993 in a secluded 600-acre canyon surrounded by trophy still water lakes. The lodge’s guests enjoy fly fishing a variety of waters, including seven rivers and 15 lakes. Falcon’s Ledge also hosts upland game hunting trips on its 3,000-acre hunting grounds, executive retreats, conventions and more.
