ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO) announced a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc., (NYSE: IM). Under the terms of the agreement, Ingram Micro will distribute ClearOne's new line of software-based video conferencing solutions and its USB, analog and VoIP conference phones to authorized technology resellers in the U.S.
“As the IT / AV industries continue to converge, Ingram Micro is well positioned to help us identify new business opportunities and drive greater growth within the U.S. reseller community,” said Chris Wildfoerster, ClearOne's vice president of sales unified communications. “Ingram Micro is a single-source distributor that offers channel partners access to a complete suite of complementary solutions and services, as well as expertise and reach within vertical markets. Together with Ingram Micro, we will expand market awareness and sales of ClearOne video and audio solutions into new channels.”
ClearOne's new COLLABORATE software-based video conferencing solutions bring together its industry-leading audio with its new cutting-edge video technology for complete, audio-visual collaboration solutions, spanning desktop applications, room systems, infrastructure and management.
For voice, the CHAT and MAX lines represent a full range of applications from the new, personal USB headphones to portable, USB-powered personal conferencing, to analog and VoIP tabletop solutions - all based on ClearOne's legacy audio processing quality.
“The addition of ClearOne to Ingram Micro's growing portfolio of audio and video collaboration offerings further increases our ability to provide our channel partners with industry-leading unified communications solutions and services,” said Kevin Prewett, senior director, vendor management, Ingram Micro U.S. “Unified communications is a growing marketplace for our channel partners and an area in which Ingram Micro continues to invest in the support, technology and resources our channel partners need to build and grow a successful unified communications practice.”
