CHG Healthcare Services, a leading healthcare staffing firm based in Salt Lake City, and Marathon Health, a leading provider of onsite health services, hosted the grand opening of a new health center at CHG headquarters. Congressman Jim Matheson and Utah Lt. Gov. Greg Bell were on-site to open the Center, which will serve CHG’s 785 Salt Lake City-based employees and their families.
“The CHG and Marathon Health Center ensures CHG employees and their families have unprecedented access to convenient, quality care,” said Michael Weinholtz, CEO of CHG Healthcare Services. “CHG strives to make the country healthier by providing top healthcare professionals to areas that need them the most. Now we are striving to make our own people healthier through the opening of the Center, which will be staffed full-time by top-quality Marathon Health clinicians. We believe this partnership will serve our employees in a meaningful and lasting way.”
All CHG employees and their families have access to primary care, health coaching, and disease management from Marathon Health medical professionals. CHG aims to make its staff healthier by improving access to care and taking on major issues such as weight management, smoking cessation, and even diabetes care. Marathon Health was selected as the partner for the Center as a result of its proven approach to employee healthcare. Clinicians aim to create trusted relationships with the employees they serve through both medical assistance and long-term health coaching. The Marathon Health Center will have the ability to treat the entire staff population at CHG, not only when they are sick, but for total healthy lifestyle coaching as well.
The Center is the first of its kind for CHG, which is one of the largest providers of healthcare staffing in the country. CHG was ranked #9 on Fortune magazine’s 2012 list of America’s “100 Best Companies To Work For” due largely to its commitment to company culture. CHG strives to always put its people first and offering healthcare at work is further supporting this internal mission of allowing employees to be their best.
“CHG Healthcare Services is a great, innovative Utah company,” said Bell. “They not only provide quality jobs, but they care for and encourage the improved well-being of all their employees.”
As one of the largest employers in Utah, CHG Healthcare Services is dedicated to building a healthy workforce. The goal of the Center is to provide easy access to quality healthcare and wellness programs. By opening the Center to employees and their families, a considerable number of Salt Lake City area residents will be served.
In addition to the Center at CHG’s headquarters, CHG will also be launching primary care, health coaching, and disease management services at its Fort Lauderdale office. A licensed nurse practitioner will now be available on-site to assist employees and their families with health care and wellness activities.
