Midvale — CENTURY 21 Everest Realty Group has merged with independent Elite Realty Group.
CENTURY 21 Everest Realty opened in June 2009 as an independent real estate company. It joined the CENTURY 21 system in 2011 with 100 agents and grew to nearly 200 real estate professionals. Now, through this merger with Elite Realty Group, the company will employ more than 250 agents.
Elite Realty Group executives, including Jeremy Leger, Dave Parker and Linda Parker, will join CENTURY 21 Everest Realty Group in new roles, along with the company’s 65 agents. As a result of the merger, CENTURY 21 Everest Realty Group will have more than ten percent of the existing home sales market share with only four percent of the agents. The company now expects to close about one out of 10 existing homes sales in the Salt Lake City market.
The merger comes at a time when the real estate market is heating up in Utah. Sales have increased 15 to 20 percent over the last year and there has been a substantial increase in new construction activity. In addition, the average days on market for local homes has dropped nearly in half to 36 days while the number of short sales in the marketplace has dropped dramatically over the last two years.
