Brickyard Plaza has added two new tenants: Gold’s Gym Express and ULTA Beauty.
Brickyard Plaza is a 306,000-square-foot community shopping center that sits on 23 acres of land at the corner of 1300 East and 3300 South. It is currently home to over 25 retail stores including TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Kohl’s, Ross, Office Max, Dress Barn, Rue 21, Sally Beauty and Tuesday Morning.
Mountain West retail specialists, Chris Hatch and Joe Mills, handle the leasing for the property while Newmark Grubb ACRES has been working as the property management group since Brickyard Plaza was purchased from The Boyer Company by Yacoel Properties LLC in January of 2013.
The property was originally constructed in the early 1980s. Since purchasing the property, Yacoel Properties has made a number of improvements in the appearance and maintenance of the property. Most recently, it completed extensive parking lot repairs and added new landscaping at each drive entrance and decorative potted plants along the storefront sidewalks.
Yacoel Properties owner, Claude Yacoel, said, “The addition of ULTA and Gold’s highlights the value of this location from a retailer’s perspective and demonstrates the excellent customer base surrounding Brickyard.”
ULTA Beauty and Cosmetics will open on June 13 in a 10,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Shoe Carnival. This will be the ninth location for ULTA in Utah.
Gold’s Gym Express will open in September 2014 in a brand new, state-of-the-art 23,000-square-foot building in the rear of Brickyard Plaza. Construction is now underway to remodel and expand an existing building. Gold’s is relocating its existing location in Sugarhouse to the new Brickyard location.
