Salt Lake City – INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY COMPANY, one of the region’s largest distributors of maintenance, repair and operational equipment, unveiled a new website that features responsive design and a more user-friendly online experience for customers.
Salt Lake City – MICHAEL BEST & FRIEDRICH LLP acquired Salt Lake-based VANTUS LAW GROUP. Eight Vantus attorneys joined the Wisconsin-based firm.
Salt Lake City – OMICIA, INC. partnered with the UNIVERSITY OF UTAH’s Utah Genome Project. Under a two-year licensing agreement with Omicia, the university will use and advance Opal, the company’s whole genome analysis platform.
Draper – HZO, INC. expanded its international operations to include executive offices and a production facility in Shenzhen, China.
Salt Lake City – BEIJER ELECTRONICS announced plans to expand its Salt Lake office, which is expected to create new 71 jobs. The company signed an incentive agreement with the GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
Salt Lake City – UNIVERSITY OF UTAH HOSPITAL was named by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a member of the NIH Store Trials Network—a network of regional stroke centers across the country that will try to revolutionize clinical stroke research.
Salt Lake City – EXELIS was selected by BOEING to produce composite airframe substructures for the 787 Dreamliner. Work began immediately at the Exelis composite design and manufacturing center.
Salt Lake City – NAMMO COMPOSITE SOLUTIONS began expansion of its Utah facility. It plans to add 23,000 square feet of manufacturing floor space, bringing the company’s total floor space to 90,000 square feet.

Draper – MEGADYNE MEDICAL PRODUCTS signed an extended two-and-a-half-year agreement to offer electrosurgical equipment and accessories to Yankee Alliance’s more than 15,000 members.
Salt Lake City - IFROGZ, a ZAGG INC. brand specializing in creative mobile accessories, introduced new Bluetooth audio products at International CES 2014. The new products, Tadpole and Coda Pop, feature Bluetooth connectivity in a small, compact form. At the size of an average keyless entry remote, the iFrogz Tadpole Bluetooth speaker has a micro-USB charging port and built-in carabiner so it can be clipped to keys, purses and belts. The iFrogz Coda Pop has a 30-foot range and water-resistant design, with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides music for up to three hours.
Murray – Dr. Gregory Christiansen purchased the Cracraft Estate located at 6358 S. 900 East and plans to build an ophthalmology office there. The services of CLARUS VISION CENTER will range from cataract and lens replacement surgery to comprehensive vision care.
MILLER & COMPANY listed the property, and represented the seller and the buyer in the transaction. The Salt Lake office of ARCHITECTURAL NEXUS was chosen to design the 6,640-square-foot clinic. JACOBSEN CONSTRUCTION was selected as the contractor. Construction should commence in early 2014 and the grand opening is slated to be early summer of 2014.
West Valley City – WINDER FARMS reached a company milestone of 10 million products delivered in 2013 throughout Utah, southern Nevada and southern California. Winder Farms expanded in 2013 to Orange County, Calif., which helped the company to surpass its goals and enlist more than 10,000 new customers.
Salt Lake City – TRACY STOCKING & ASSOCIATES rebranded as TSA ARCHITECTS. The rebranding campaign will continue through the summer with presentations to healthcare systems and organizations throughout the Intermountain region.
Salt Lake City - INTERCHANGE BUSINESS PARK was sold to HARRISON PROPERTIES in late December 2013. The business park consists of 25 office/warehouse buildings totaling approximately 385,000 square feet and is situated on 31 acres. Harrison Properties is based in Phoenix, Ariz., and owns, leases and manages more than 8.8 million square feet in the region.
Salt Lake City – STREAMZ released the world’s first smart streaming headphones. STREAMZ headphones allow users to play music and audio from multiple sources, including stored music, streaming online radio, streamed phone music, plus audio from TV, movies, and game players.
