Gemstone Hotels & Resorts Acquires Hotel Durant
Park City − GEMSTONE HOTELS & RESORTS acquired the Hotel Durant in Berkeley, Calif. The 144-room boutique hotel is adjacent to the University of California Berkeley campus.
“Hotel Durant is an outstanding addition to Gemstone’s growing collection of one-of-a-kind hotels in top destination markets with high barriers to new entry,” says Thomas Prins, Gemstone principal. “A boutique hotel set amidst a vibrant university campus meshes perfectly with the rest of our portfolio and allows us to meet the needs of our guests for an intimate, luxury experience in the greater San Francisco area.
“When this hotel became available, we knew it was perfect for Gemstone,” adds Prins. “We aggressively are pursuing other equity-based deals and are positioned to act quickly in the future when we can acquire and add immediate value. For 2013, we are optimistic that our active pipeline will yield some exciting hotels in excellent locations.”
Rejuvenation Launches Anti-Aging Skin Care Line
Park City − REJUVENATION LABS announced the launch of Resvology, a topical anti-aging skin care line containing the multi-patented, gene-activating 4-AR molecule, a uniquely stabilized ester form of the widely recognized “youth molecule” resveratrol.
Resvology’s anti-aging effectiveness is based upon a proprietary molecule discovered by a team of cancer researchers at BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY working under a grant by the National Institutes of Health. Through in-vitro studies, the 4-AR molecule (or resveratryl acetate) has been observed to activate 85 key skin–related genes to fuel gene activity.
Researchers also observed a significant correlation between the 4-AR molecule in higher production of several proteins and enzymes important to cell regeneration. In clinical trials, consumers have reported that Resvology hydrated skin, removed fine lines and wrinkles, and minimized puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.
“The discovery of the 4-AR molecule has improved our understanding of the skin’s aging process, and how it can look and feel more youthful,” says Kevin Passey, CEO of Rejuvenation Labs. “Resvology sets a new standard for anti-aging effectiveness in the skin care industry by creating the most stable and accessible use of resveratrol. Resvology will make a genuine difference in how women look and feel.”
