Kaysville - HAPARI SWIMWEAR opened a new location at 275 W. 200 North in Kaysville. It features the complete collection of Hapari swimwear and will include its new line of 2012 tankini swimwear.

Ogden - DESTINATION CINEMA revamped the Grand Canyon website, ExploretheCanyon.com. The updated site is comprehensive, informative and intuitive, serving as a one-stop shop for travelers. Users can find tour guides, interactive learning, things to do, custom tours, the latest news, back-country permits and more.

Cache Valley Hospital Laboratory Receives Accreditation

Logan - CACHE VALLEY HOSPITAL LABORATORY was awarded accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of a recent onsite inspection. Cache Valley Hospital Laboratory is one of more than 7,000 CAP- accredited laboratories worldwide.

“We’re extremely pleased with the accreditation,” says Jonathan F. Koehler, M.D., director of the lab. “It’s taken the effort, dedication and cooperation of all involved—from staff, to doctors, to the hospital administration—working together to help it come to fruition.”

The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program, begun in the early 1960s, is recognized by the federal government as being equal to or more stringent that the government’s own inspection program.

During the CAP accreditation process, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, as well as the laboratory’s equipment, facilities, safety program and record, in addition to the overall management of the laboratory. This stringent inspection program is designed to specifically ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients.

Wasatch/Summit Area

Midway - The HOMESTEAD RESORT golf course has been renamed CRATER SPRINGS GOLF COURSE after the popular hot springs that is inside the property. The course was originally built in 1989 and is undergoing the first renovation since opening. Renovations include water features and realignment of the tee boxes.

Park City - GALLERIA FLORAL moved off of Park City’s Main Street to 1300 Snowcreek Drive, Ste. Q. The new location has better customer parking, more square footage and a growing product line in plants and gifts.

Park City - Two-time Olympic medalist Shannon Bahrke opened a second location of SILVER BEAN COFFEE CO. at 3419 Olympic Parkway.

Snowbird - SNOWBIRD SKI AND SUMMER RESORT hosted the 2012 North Face Masters of Snowboarding, now in its fifth season. The event at Snowbird was the last stop in the tour. The North Face Masters provides an opportunity for both established and up-and-coming riders to put together a winning run during two days of cutthroat competition. The resort also hosted the fifth and final stop of the Junior Freeskiing Tour.

Skullcandy Announces Unique Partnership With The Berrics

Park City - SKULLCANDY INC. announced a multi-platform alliance with The Berrics, a world-renowned indoor skate park and the most trafficked website in skateboarding. The Berrics combines a private skate park with a website that contains proprietary footage and content from the park. The site’s daily posts feature the best professionals and amateurs in skateboarding.

The partnership will help deliver the new Skullcandy Supreme Sound message around the world, via the integration of products and branding on theberrics.com as well as in the new Berrics skate park and offices, which are slated to open later this year.

“This partnership with Skullcandy, especially with their renewed focus on skateboarding, enables us to collaborate on special content and make exclusive product for our employees as well as all the different types of skateboarders that step foot into The Berrics,” says Steve Berra, co-founder of The Berrics. “Skullcandy is the ideal brand for this new type of innovative partnership.”

The partnership kicked off earlier this year with a daily Skullcandy segment on the website called, “31 Days of Theotis,” which featured Skullcandy team rider Theotis Beasley.

“Skateboarding is one of our core target focus areas in the coming years,” says Nate Morley, Skullcandy VP of global marketing and creative. “Our goal is to make Skullcandy the most relevant performance lifestyle audio brand in the minds of the skateboarding community. Our partnership with The Berrics will be a key piece of this strategy because of its unique level of integration, collaboration, content creation and global reach.”
