Westminster’s flight operations program incorporated additional training in crisis decision-making and created two new capstone courses in anticipation of meeting the new requirements before they are mandated. Westminster’s unique and challenging training environment, along with its newly designed courses, takes aviation students beyond FAA requirements in what is an ever increasingly competitive industry.
The AABI accreditation not only assures employers that Westminster graduates possess complex skills with a broad background in the aviation industry, but it also strengthens faculty connections to industry professionals. Westminster is now one of just 30 elite colleges accredited by AABI worldwide.
Orem - ARIBEX, INC. launched its Rectangular Collimator Adapter for the NOMAD Pro handheld X-ray system at the Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting. The device snaps on the cone of the NOMAD Pro to reduce the x-ray exposure from a 6 centimeter circle to a 3 by 4 centimeter rectangle, matching the size and shape of a No. 2 dental image receptor. Provo - VIVINT introduced Smart Schedule Activity Patterns, a new energy-saving enhancement to Vivint’s Smart Thermostat. The new layer of intelligence enables customers to optimize thermostat settings based on data reported over time.
Vivint also partnered with KWIKSET to give home automations customers remote access and enhanced security.
Orem - KISSTIXX received an investment from business mogul Mark Cuban. The investment was used for Kisstixx inventory with national drugstore chain Walgreens.

Veracity Networks Announces Expansion to Salt Lake City
Provo - VERACITY NETWORKS has expanded its internet and phone services to the downtown Salt Lake City area. Veracity Networks will provide telecom support for more than 10,000 homes and businesses serviced through the Salt Lake Main Telecommunication Central Office.
“In an economy that has been so unsettled, we’ve been fortunate to expand our operations and provide customers an alternative that cuts costs while increasing telecommunication productivity,” says Drew Peterson, CEO of Veracity Networks.
“This strategic move will put Veracity Networks in the heart of Salt Lake City and give local businesses a logical and economic choice among phone and internet service providers,” he says.

Ogden - JDHGROUP expanded its graphics production and agency development with the addition of a large-format digital flatbed printer, the Oce Arizona 550 GT UV flatbed printer. The Arizona is renowned for its speed and photographic-quality UV prints, and is capable of producing more than 100 boards in an eight-hour shift.
