Park City - STRATA merged with CONSOLIDATED ENGINEERS AND MATERIALS TESTING (CE&MT) of Gillette, Wyo. The merger with CE&MT strengthens Strata’s core services of geotechnical engineering, environmental science, construction materials testing and construction inspection services.
Park City - PARK CITY LIVE signed a multi-year lease at the Memorial Building on Main Street, previously occupied by the Harry O’s nightclub. The venue will operate on a year-round basis and will host live shows.
Park City - The Spa at STEIN ERIKSEN LODGE was named among the Top 10 Spas worldwide for “Best For” Winter Sports in the SpaFinder Readers’ Choice Awards. The Spa also won “Best Treatment” for its Nordic Princess offering.
Park City - PROBAR was certified by the Non-GMO Project for not adding “genetically modified organisms” (GMOs) to its products. The project works to make consumers more aware of the food they are consuming.
Midway - ZERMATT RESORT hosted the “Pay It Forward Experience” conference. Charley Johnson, founder of the Pay It Forward Experience, organized the event.
The Homestead and Zermatt Resorts Begin a New Direction
Midway - The HOMESTEAD and ZERMATT resorts in Midway entered into a partnership with GEMSTONE HOTELS AND RESORTS to provide hotel management services to both properties. Asset-management company Gemstone Hotels and Resorts is based in Park City and specializes in managing complex resorts in unique destinations and upscale luxury urban hotels.
The Homestead and Zermatt resorts are also expanding their offerings in the areas of arts, education, health, wellbeing and recreation. The resorts have partnered with Soul Centers, a content provider specializing in the delivery of inspirational, transformational, and profound educational experiences.
“These new resort offerings will showcase original, unique and highly sought after guest experiences in the distinctive natural setting of these two Alpine destinations,” says Steve Eddington, managing partner of the Homestead and Zermatt resorts. “By making these strategic changes, we are certain the resorts will enhance their positioning in the marketplace and will broaden our customer base of guests from all over the world who desire peace, relaxation and rejuvenation in a world-class setting.”

St. George - STRATA introduced Strata Design 3D CX v.7 to Mac users, accompanied by discounted introductory pricing on full and upgrade versions. This announcement also marks the beginning of Strata’s Free Upgrade Program for PC owners who want to purchase version 6. The program guarantees a free upgrade to version 7 for Windows when it is released in the months ahead.
St. George - STEVENS-HENAGER COLLEGE began classes at its new campus in St. George. The college’s new offerings include accelerated associate and bachelor’s degrees in medical specialties, graphic arts, business administration, computer programming, networking and healthcare administration, which can be completed in 20 or 36 months.
St. George - DIXIE REGIONAL MEDICAL HEALTH AND PERFORMANCE CENTER celebrated the grand opening of Gateway to Wellness with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour.
St. George - WILSON ELECTRONICS released its 4G LTE 700 signal booster. The signal booster features separate adjustable gain controls: one for the uplink (device-to-tower communication) and another for the downlink (tower-to-device communication). The company also introduced its AWS 70 signal booster, which was designed to improve the performance of phones, data cards and tablets operating on the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) 1700/2100 MHz band.
St. George - The ST. GEORGE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE hosted its first annual “A Taste of Dixie” at Vernon Worthen Park. The event, held during the chamber’s annual business expo, featured food from local restaurants and live entertainment.
