Salt Lake City – The annual national conference of the American Physical Therapy Association will take place this week in Salt Lake City, an event expected to bring more than 2,000 attendees and $2 million to the city, according to Francine A. Giani, executive director of the Utah Department of Commerce.
The Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) currently licenses over 2,340 physical therapists statewide and many plan to participate in APTA’s meeting at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
“Utah is delighted to host the American Physical Therapy Association and welcome its members during their 3-day conference and exposition in Salt Lake City, “Giani said. “We hope APTA members soak up great information during their conference and bring their families back for future Utah outdoor adventures.”
APTA offers physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and students in physical therapy an opportunity to learn best practices, tools and products to enhance their knowledge and skills in the physical therapy arena.
