Allegiant Celebrates Inaugural Flight Between Ogden and Phoenix

Press Release

September 21, 2012

Yesterday Allegiant inaugurated nonstop flights between Ogden and Phoenix/Mesa.

“We are pleased to extend the Allegiant brand of low-cost travel services to Ogden residents,” Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company president, said. “We are confident the community will appreciate our affordable and convenient air service, as well as the value of booking hotel rooms and car rentals through us.”

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Ogden-Hinckley Airport (OGD) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA). For flight schedules and reservations visit allegiant.com.

“Northern Utah wins now that Allegiant is starting scheduled air service to the Phoenix/Mesa region with convenience and low fares from Ogden-Hinckley Airport,” said Royal Eccles, Airport manager at Ogden-Hinckley Airport. “The airport is looking to become the value leader for all types of travelers and the gateway to our year-round high adventure recreation areas.”

Allegiant's “Vote for Vacation” bus stopped in Ogden during its 77-city bus tour promoting the nation's right to vacation. The campaign stop was at the Ogden-Hinckley Airport with a live radio remote hosted by KZHT-FM.

With breathtaking scenery, endless sun, unmatched resorts, and miles of world-class golf courses, Phoenix/Mesa is a gateway to all that Arizona has to offer, including the Grand Canyon, Scottsdale, Tempe and Sedona. The area is considered “The Golf Capital of the World,” as well as the “Resort Capital of the World” with numerous four- and five-diamond resorts.
